Meet the artists of Cottonwood Sky

Meet the artists at Mountain View Museum

The community had the opportunity to meet and chat with two local artists recently in Uptowne Olds. Theresa Potter and Lorene Runham who have a joint exhibition and sale called ‘Cottonwood Sky’ at the Mountain View Museum gallery in Uptowne Olds were on hand to discuss their work and answer questions from the public. The gallery, which is a located in the museum building, has hosted many exhibitions over the years but this was the first time two artists have joined together to co-host an exhibit. We asked Theresa Potter and Lorene Runham what prompted them to join forces for this show. The Mountain View Museum and Archives is housed in the historic AGT building in Uptowne Olds and the gallery is in a prominent area of the museum. Visitors are encouraged to view the art on display as well as tour the historical exhibits from Olds past.Judy Dahl, Mayor of the Town of Olds gave us some insight into the value arts and culture have for the community.

The exhibit is on display until February 8th and the museum is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday. To find out more about the museum and what exhibits are showing in the gallery, visit their website at www.oldsmuseum.ca
