The recent Olds and District Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours networking event was hosted by the Mountain View Credit Union in their new building on highway 27 on the west side of Olds. Credit Union staff provided tours of the new facility to members of the community. According to Bob Marshall, President and CEO of Mountain View Credit Union they occupy about sixty percent of the building and are looking to lease out approximately ten to twelve thousand square feet. Marshall commented on the current state of the Alberta economy, saying that the positive job market indicates the region and the province are doing well. The Mountain View Credit Union has branches in twelve communities and was formed in 1997 after the amalgamation of 4 smaller credit unions. According to their website, they had greater than $535-million in assets in 2011.
