Internationally renowned soils ecologist talks to local producers in Olds

Dr. Christine Jones, an internationally renowned soils ecologist facilitated workshops at Olds College on November 4th. Dr. Jones was brought in from Australia by local agricultural organizations to talk to area producers about new concepts on regenerative land management practices. Dr. Jones spoke with us about the topics covered in the workshops. We spoke with Ian Murray Chair of the Foothills Forage and Grazing Association one of the sponsors of the workshops.on the acceptance of new management concepts by local producers. We also spoke with Eric Iversen, Chair of Agricultural Service Board Mountain View County. Mountain View County were one of the many local agriculture partners who sponsored the workshops. Dr. Jones gave us her perspective on global climate change and how it affects ag production.
